DR. G. S. IHETUDr Ihetu

Chairman, Board of Directors

Dr. Godswill Sunday Ihetu holds a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (1969) and a Ph.D. inMechanical Engineering (1972) from The City University, London. 
Dr. Ihetu has over 40 years experience in oil and gas industry. He started his career with Shell in 1959 and joined the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in 1974 and retired in 1999 as Group Executive Director, Engineering and Technology Directorate.

During his career with the NNPC, he held the position of Managing Director/CEO Nigerian Gas Company (NGC) as well as the Managing Director/CEO of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited. Under his leadership at the NLNG, the first two trains of the NLNG Project in Bonny were put on stream. He was the pioneer Head of Pipeline Operations of the NNPC, which oversaw the commissioning and operation of the nationwide crude oil and product pipelines system. He was one of the initiators of the Nigerian Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO), the engineering subsidiary of NNPC. He also supervised the engineering, commissioning and operation of the NNPC nationwide Telecoms System.

A widely experienced Corporate Management practitioner, Dr. Ihetu served as Director Broad Bank, Director Nigerian Fertilizer Company of Nigeria (NAFCON), Chairman Stallion Property Development Company, Chairman National Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO), Director Law Union and Rock Insurance Company.

He currently sits on the Boards of several companies as Chairman and Director, and is a founding member and member Board of Governors, The Petroleum Club. A fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Dr. Ihetu is an avid golfer and enjoys good music, is a keen follower of current affairs and an active Christian.

  • Stan holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nigeria. With over 30 years of multi-discipline engineering, project management and business development experience in iron and steel, water supply, investment and development banking and oil and gas.

    His career path has taken him through the Ajaokuta Steel Plant where he worked as Senior Engineer in Erection, Construction and Installation, Operations and Maintenance Divisions. He later worked as Head of Projects Development at NIDB Consultancy, a subsidiary of the then Nigeria Industrial Development Bank (NIDB), now Bank of Industry.

    Stan has handled varied engineering and project management projects in the oil and gas industry for the past fourteen years. He worked as discipline mechanical engineer with the Engineering Services Team of Chevron Nigeria Limited.
    He was Chief Facilities Engineer with GEC Petroleum Development Company, where he was responsible for the development of all the surface production facilities of the company.

    Stan worked as Engineering Manager with Field Offshore Design Engineering Limited (FODE), responsible for all the Engineering, Project Management, Technical Services and Operations of the Company before leaving to join Rakhone.

 

VINCENT EMEKA EBENEBE V. E. Ebenebe

Executive Director, Engineering and Project Management

Emeka holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Project Management a well as an M Sc. in Managing Major Projects and Programmes from Middlesex University, London. 
He is a seasoned professional engineer with over 30 years of cross-functional engineering and project management experience.  He has played various roles and has held leadership positions in Consultancy, Project Management, and Field Engineering, in the Construction industry as well as the Onshore/Offshore Oil and Gas industry.

Emeka started his career with Agbim and Partners, a reputable Engineering firm, where he worked as a Field Civil Engineer. From there he joined Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), and worked there for over 24 years in various roles and positions in onshore and offshore projects in Nigeria, US and UK. He later joined PSL Engineering and Control as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for the delivery of various projects in oil and gas and the power industry.
He has been involved in all project stages from conceptual, through to front end and basic engineering, detailed engineering, construction, installation and commissioning.

Emeka has always exhibited a passion for mentoring and guiding younger engineers and other professionals. He is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

    Igho holds an FCA in Accounting and an MBA in Marketing. He has over 22 years of multi-discipline accountancy, audit and taxation practice in Manufacturing, Trading, Construction, Banking, Insurance, Finance and Oil and Gas.
    He started his career as a Trainee Accountant with Sulaimon & Co (Chartered Accountants) between 1988 and 1990. He moved on to SCOA Nigeria where he rose from the position of Assistant Accountant to a Reporting Manager from 1990 to 1993.
    Igho joined Allstates Trust Bank Group from October 1993 to February 2004 where he rose from the position of a Senior Banking Supervisor to that of a Senior Manager having been Head of Account of the Finance House (AVC Fund Ltd), Branch Manager/Operations Coordinator of the Mortgage arm (TMC Savings & Loans Ltd), Deputy Head, Reconciliation Department at the group Head Office and Finance Controller of the Insurance Subsidiary (Linkage Assurance Company Plc.).

    He later worked with Conoil Producing Ltd as Senior Accountant responsible for PSC Accounts of the company. He also worked as Finance Manager of GEC Petroleum Development Company Ltd. where he was responsible for developing and managing the financial and accounting systems of the company. From GEC he moved to Ocean Marine Security Limited, a foremost marine security company providing security to oil and gas facilities offshore Nigeria where he was the General Manager, Finance, Accounts and ICT.

 

Barrister CLETUS CHIKELU ILEGBUNE Barrister Cletus

CLETUS CHIKELU ILEGBUNE.  LL.B (Hons) BL, LL.M (Unilag) was called to the Nigerian Bar and enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 23rd Oct 1987.
He started law practice as a pupil counsel in the Law firm of MIKE OZEKHOME's Chambers between 1989 and 1991; In 1992 he joined IFEBUNANDU and CO from where he resigned in August 1999 having attained the position of Senior Counsel. Thereafter, he set up the law firm of CHIKELU ILEGBUNE and CO of which he is the Principal and Chief Counsel till date.

Barr. Ilegbune is highly experienced in all aspects of law practice as it pertains to litigation and commercial law practice. He has steered the legal and secretarial needs of many companies, private and public alike.

He is presently the legal adviser to a number of corporate organizations and private individuals. Barr. Ilegbune is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association. He is the Director of Legal Services, Life Action Project (NGO), Director of Legal Services, Archangel Michael Security Ministry (Church Security Outfit) and Member of Shelter Rights Initiative (NGO).
